CISV offers the opportunity for youth to participate in amazing programmes and become involved in a range of educational, leadership, and multi-cultural experiences. CISV International includes over 200 chapters worldwide. Its programmes are held in various locations around the world, usually during late June to August (the northern hemisphere summer) and in December and January (the southern hemisphere summer).

All our spots for the Winter 2025 programme season are currently filled.

2026 Programmes

Want to travel with CISV next year?  Fill out our expression of interest form and let us know where you want to go and for what programme!

Programme Interest Survey

CISV programmes are for youth 11-17. Adults 21+ interested in being a leader are also invited to fill out the survey. Please share with friends or family you think may be interested! This is not a commitment, just an expression of interest!

We can’t guarantee any camps from this survey, as camps change and other chapters may get to choose before us, however the responses will be used to inform our programme selection at the National Board Meeting in November. Program invitations are divvied up amongst the Canadian chapters in a "hockey draft". We want to pick programmes that members of our Chapter are excited to attend, and this is the best way to make your voice heard!

Applications

Applications for CISV programmes typically come out at the end of November and close in early January. Applications for international programmes are submitted electronically to programmes@cisvvictoria.ca. A deposit is required with each programme application: $250 to be e-transferred to treasurer@cisvvictoria.ca. This deposit is non-refundable, but will be returned if the youth is not selected to be a delegate.

Applicants for programmes, and at least one of their parents/guardians, will be asked to participate in an interview to share their goals, expectations, and knowledge of the programme and why they wish to participate. Application for a programme does not guarantee acceptance.

On the application form, applicants may indicate a preference for programme location if there is more than one programme for a particular age group. CISV Victoria aims to match each youth with their preferred programme location. However, it is not always possible for each delegate to attend their first-choice location. Please remember that the location plays a small role in the overall experience and the youth spend most of their time at camp. The CISV experience is fully international regardless of the location.

All legal guardians must sign all CISV legal and health forms and provide a notarized copy of any custody and/or legal guardianship arrangements as outlined in the application forms.

Special Cases:

Applications for Seminar Camp are done through CISV Canada. Participants must be 16-17 years old from two weeks prior to departure and the full length of the programme.

Applications for National Camp are done through JB Canada. Each Chapter is given five spots for any genders, and additional spots may be distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis once the initial deadline to apply has passed. Participants must be ages 10-17. Staffing positions also available for those ages 18+.

Leaders

Our programs for under-16s are accompanied by volunteer adults. Each delegation of 4 children / teenagers is looked after by such a “leader”. They must be at least 21 years old. There is no age limit to the top. There are no costs for you, but we do not pay any stipends, however we are happy to issue a certificate. Want to know more about being a Leader? Read more here.
