2013 is an official “year of rest” in CISV Victoria’s multi year calendar, but the preparations to host a “Step Up” camp in 2014 are ongoing. To help, the chapter hosted a fundraising event featuring local performers; Sarah Ayer, Marie Tasse, and the BC Fiddle Orchestra. Generous support from these corporate donors contributed to the financial success of the evening. Thank you!
A huge thank you goes out to SeaCider Farm & Ciderhouse for so generously donating to our chapter.
In July 2012, CISV Victoria hosted an International Seminar Camp with youth from 15 member countries attending. The three-week long camp required delegates to shape the structure of their camp while they explored complex themes, resolved ever changing conflicts and developed personal leadership skills. This camp was life changing for delegates and the success can be attributed in part to the outstanding support from these local donors and sponsors.
August 2011, CISV Victoria hosted Canada’s annual National Camp. Member CISV youth from across Canada explored the 2011 international theme of Conflict and Resolution. The week long camp was a great success and we would like to thank these local donors and sponsors.
July 2011, CISV Victoria hosted Canada’s first-ever international Youth Meeting, with the theme Image-In a CISV World.
