The programmes offered by CISV Victoria are made possible through various fundraising endeavours, generous donations of individuals, sponsorship and grants.

CISV Victoria hosts an international programmes on a 5 year cycle. Hosting is costly, but it is a vital part of providing this unique opportunity to youth from our community, and around the world. We appreciate every means of support and we gratefully accept in-kind donations, which are eligible for tax-deductible receipts.

In the past we have appreciated in-kind donations such as: food for camps, discounts on food, bedding, transportation, storage, dry cleaning and laundry services, building space for events, guest speakers, manual labour, freezers and freezer space, professional advice, cooks, life-guard services, notary services, writing grant applications, sports equipment, photography, discounts on goods, and a helping hand.

CISV Victoria Bottle Drive

CISV Victoria has set up an account with the Bottle Depot, and now, whenever you mention the account “CISV Victoria” at the Bottle Depot when returning your bottles, all the proceeds will be donated to CISV Victoria!

Yes, it’s that easy!! Stop by any of the three Victoria Bottle Depot locations (4261 Glanford Ave, 655 Queens Ave, or 3961 Quadra St) with bottles you have collected from yourself, your family, and friends anytime and tell them you want the money donated to CISV Victoria.

Please note that this contest is entirely optional – we appreciate your bottle return donations any way! Anyone can donate their return money to CISV when they go to the Bottle Depot, so share our name with your friends and family who are looking for ways to give back to the community.

Thrifty Foods and Fairway Market Cards

Thrifty Foods Smile Cards and Fairways giftcards are available for CISV Victoria members and friends. If you shop at either of these stores, please consider supporting us in this initiative – there’s no cost to you!

Instead of paying for your groceries on your credit card or by cash, load money onto a “Smile Card” for Thriftys or a Fairways Card and then pay using that card. It’s that simple! Thrifty Foods or Fairways will donate an amount equal to 5% of the amount you load on your card to CISV Victoria. Ask the cashier to load any amount you wish onto the card before having your grocery order rung through. Pay for the card load with cash, debit card or credit card. Ring the grocery order through and pay for the order with your Smile Card or Fairways Card. When the card balance is running low, load it again to continue to support your group every time you shop! It’s that simple!
