CISV Victoria operates on a year round basis providing peace education and working to develop intercultural competence in a way that can directly benefit the local community.
Members of all ages and entire families take part in the organization. While there are international CISV opportunities, our local chapter is the highlight of any CISV experience. Active local involvement also enables individuals to apply for a number of international opportunities each year. Active local involvement by youth and adults of any age enables CISV Victoria to thrive, and our volunteers are vital to our success!

Costs are done on a sliding scale to make our programming accessible to everyone who is interested. Membership in CISV is done per family, including any youth and adults in that household. A family membership in CISV Victoria is $100-$300 per year. There is also an option for individuals who are 18+ who are continuing to be active members in our local chapter for $20-60 per calendar year (often leaders, alumni, or parents staying involved).
Payments can be made by e-transfer treasurer@cisvvictoria.ca. Please add “Membership 2024-2025” and your full name (and your other family members' names, if you're registering for a family membership) in the comment section of the e-transfer to indicate what you are paying for. Alternatively you can pay by cash or cheque at any CISV Victoria event or by sending payments and a note as to who/what you are paying for to:

Victoria, BC V8W 3R7
If the lower end of the scale is still a barrier to your participation in CISV, please email membership@cisvvictoria.ca to request accommodations. We don’t want hardship to impede youth from participating in our local chapter!
Family Membership
This is our main membership option. It is meant for most families joining CISV that have youth participating in our programmes.
- Access to all events held throughout the year, including JB meetings, minicamps, social activities, and Mosaic projects
- A maximum of four (4) votes at any of our General Meetings – two (2) adult votes (ages 18+) and two (2) youth votes (ages 14-17)
- Opportunity to travel and participate in our International Programmes
Historically, a family membership was $150 for the year. We invite you to pay between $100-$300 based on your financial situation, your contributions to the chapter in other ways, and we encourage you to adjust this amount based on your family size.
Individual Membership
This membership option is for adults who are ages 18+ who want to stay involved with CISV after they’ve graduated out of our youth programming.
- Access to adult-only events, all-ages social events, and Mosaic projects throughout the year
- One (1) vote at any of our General Meetings
- The opportunity to be a leader/staff at our International Programmes
Historically, individual memberships have been $50 per year, and we invite you to pay between $20-60 based on your financial situation and your contributions to the chapter in other ways. Individual memberships often apply to leaders, alumni, or parents staying involved.
