What? 18+ Event

Who? CISV members in western and central North America. You must be 18+ to attend this activity.

Where? Online!

When? Friday May 28, 2021, 7:00 pm – 8:30pm (PST)

This series is targeted at adults and is more discussion based to create dialog on a variety of topics. The topic is still undecided but mark your calendars and keep an eye out for more updates. Planned by a group of CISV Victoria Exec members, these events are open to any 18+ CISVers in western and central North America.

In recognition of Red Dress Day on May 5th, this month’s 18+ event will be discussing the ongoing human rights crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA people (MMIWG2) in North America. We hope this month’s event will shed light on the injustices facing Indigenous peoples today, and especially how they affect women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA people. This discussion aims to inspire efforts to decolonize our daily lives by learning about Indigenous Peoples’ history and how we can foster reconciliation for a better future.

To sign up for these events, please fill out the online registration form  (if you’ve already filled out the form for previous events you don’t need to register again!). If you have additional questions about our 18+ programming feel free to contact mosaic@cisvvictoria.ca.
