Break the Silence: an Introduction to Anti-Racism Education with Angela Ma Brown

CISV Canada’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee is excited to announce an upcoming training: Break the Silence: an Introduction to Anti-Racism Education with Angela Ma Brown. It will be held via Google Meet on Sunday, February 9th from 10:00-11:30 am PST. Workshop attendees will engage in critical and courageous conversations to unpack the complex concepts of bias, prejudice, discrimination, racism, and oppression. This session is designed to provide a knowledge base of terms and vocabulary, and the harmful impacts of discrimination on marginalized people.

This workshop is open to JBers and adults alike from across Canada. To register, follow this link. It is part of CISV Canada’s DEI Committee’s commitment to providing training materials for CISV members to deepen their knowledge and learning and thereby truly “walk the talk” of the four CISV pillars of global friendship and peace education.
