CISV Victoria holds monthly Junior Branch (JB) Meetings for local youth (ages 10-25) to connect, learn, and play. Junior Branch (JB) offers opportunities for youth to develop attitudes, skills and knowledge through educational initiatives that contribute to the mission and vision of CISV. Our JB Meetings are where a team of youth leaders (called the Steering Committee) organize and run fun activities and games that explore key themes such as diversity, human rights, sustainable development, and conflict resolution.
If you walked into a JB Meeting you would likely see a big group of youth, laughing, maybe standing in a circle, participating in some game, and then a transition to small groups in a quieter activity and then coming back into a big circle to debrief and share, while Steering members ask guiding questions.
Our JB Meetings are held in the Great Room of Maria Montessori Academy in Gordon Head, Victoria.
Contact our Local Junior Representatives (LJRs), Astrid & Felix, or our JB Liaison (the adult in charge), Sophie , for more information.
