Welcome Back CISV Victoria

We are kicking off the CISV year with one of our favourite annual events: Peace Night!

When? Friday, September 27th, from 7pm–9pm.

Where? Peace Night will be taking place at Maria Montessori Academy (1841 Fairburn Dr). Accessibility info: Info Night is accessible by the #27 bus. Parking is available alongside Fairburn Park on Providence Pl, or in the parking lot of Maria Montessori Academy.

Who? CISVers who traveled this year, their families, and all members of the CISV Victoria community. This is an all-ages event, so bring the whole family!

What? This is a welcome back event for all our travelers this past summer and an opportunity to reconnect with the CISV Victoria community. This event will be organized in two parts:

7:00-8:00pm: Social Time

Welcome back party for JBers and a chance to share about your summer CISV camps or share about your own personal summer adventures. The first half of Peace Night is for JBers to play and share. You can expect energizers, speed circle sharing, short games, and storytelling. After our Welcome Back party, we will join in with our whole CISV community to play and share more about our CISV experiences at our Peace Night gathering!

Other family members, JBers who didn’t attend a CISV camp, and general members of the CISV Victoria community will have time to socialize, reconnect, and meet the Exec Board. This is free time to hang out, catch up, and ask any questions about our Chapter.

There will also be designated confidants around during this time, where delegates, leaders/staff, and parents of travelers can share any questions, comments, or concerns about anything that took place over the summer.

8:00-9:00pm: Presentation of Travelers

We had a busy summer as a chapter, sending 3 full delegations, 2 individuals, and 4 staff to camps around the world. Now it’s time to hear from them all! This is a marvelous time to hear from the participants, leaders, and staff in CISV camps over the summer and ask them questions about their experiences.
