We are kicking off the CISV year with one of our favourite annual events: Peace Night!
When? Friday, September 26th, from 7pm–9pm.
Where? Peace Night will be taking place at Maria Montessori Academy (1841 Fairburn Dr). Accessibility info: Peace Night is accessible by the #27 bus. Parking is available alongside Fairburn Park on Providence Pl, or in the parking lot of Maria Montessori Academy.
Who? CISVers who traveled this year, their families, and all members of the CISV Victoria community. This is an all-ages event, so bring the whole family! Peace Night will be taking place immediately following our Chapter’s Info Night, so any new families who want to learn more about our programmes can stick around and ask questions directly to those who participated in them.
What? This is a welcome back event for all our travelers this past summer and an opportunity to reconnect with the CISV Victoria community. This year’s Peace Night will be taking on a new format: inspired by CISV camps’ Open Day, instead of travelers presenting about their programmes one by one, we’ll instead be hosting a market-style event where each programme will have their own booth. Our CISV community can mill around at their leisure, and find out more about the programmes we’ve sent this summer and our delegates’ experiences. This is a marvelous time to hear from the participants, leaders, and staff in CISV camps over the summer and ask them questions about their experiences.
Note: There will also be designated confidants around during this time, where delegates, leaders, and parents of travelers can share any questions, comments, or concerns about anything that took place over the summer.
