Fall Fairfield, presented by the Fairfield Gonzales Community Association (FGCA), is an annual music, arts, crafts and food festival set in the heart of Fairfield. The festival is a free, all-ages, community event celebrating local businesses and non-profits, artists, performers, and people across Victoria in recognition of our community’s dynamic culture and the harvest season!
On Friday, September 26th, from 7:00-8:00pm at Maria Montessori Academy (1841 Fairburn Dr) you’ll be able to meet some CISV youth, learn about our local opportunities, and hear what CISV is all about! If you’re a new family to our organization, or you might know someone who’s interested in joining, Info Night is the perfect opportunity to learn about what we do!
This is our annual welcome back event for all our travelers this past summer and an opportunity to reconnect with the CISV Victoria community. We’ll be hosting a market-style event where each programme will have their own booth. Our CISV community can mill around at their leisure, and find out more about the programmes we’ve sent this summer and our delegates’ experiences. This is a marvelous time to hear from the participants, leaders, and staff in CISV camps over the summer and ask them questions about their experiences.
CUBAM is the CISV “neighbourhood” made up of the Junior Branches from Canada, USA, Brasil, and Mexico. It’s a space where we share ideas, experiences, and strengthen our ties as part of CISV’s Junior Branch. “On Our Block” is where JBers from the CUBAM come together not just as participants, but as neighbours. This online hangout is all about discovering more about our CUBAM neighbourhood, building meaningful connections across borders, and recognizing that we’re all a part of something bigger.
We hold our Board Meetings once a month, and anyone can attend and learn more about what goes on behind-the-scenes of CISV Victoria. Folks ages 16+ can join our board, but we welcome anyone who wants to learn more about how our Chapter is run to come to our meetings.
